Exploring America on Two Wheels

Exploring America on Two Wheels

We all buy bikes for different purposes. I have owned Suzuki’s, Honda’s, BMW’s, Yamaha’s and two Harleys for one reason, to see the backroads of America for the past +45 yrs.

Latest trip, solo 7108 mi in 15 Days. What a trip! Mother Nature threw everything at me. Seventy plus mph winds East of Laramie, Wyoming at the Sherman Summit. Flurries and Sleet on the Elk Bend pass in Idaho, lots of rain that slowed me down some, no surprise in the NW. Mid 50's to over 100 degrees in a matter of hours.

I didn’t get to explore some of Canada, North of Idaho due to bad weather but was able to in a few days explore Vancouver Island (and this time no one flipped me the bird!), not many roads but worth adding it to the trip. I must say, I was really impressed with Idaho, if you like Trout fishing this is the place.

Idaho, Washington and Oregon couldn’t find a straight backroad, fun and exhausting to explore.

BTW: I only added ½ quart of oil to keep at optimum level (88311 miles on my 2017), NW States gas appeared poor, had to run premium to keep the bike from acting sluggish.
